Hola. Mi name is Alfonso. I am a passionate 32 years old guide from Madrid. I have been guiding for almost 7 years all over Spain and Portugal , giving different kinds of tours as both a local guide and tour leader. I have studied business and tourism and I have been professional athlete. WHY AM I GUIDING? Since I was a kid I have always loved knowing new places. I enjoy improvising within those new cities and discovering new places along the way. I am curious about everything. I consider myself to be enthusiastic, knowledgeable, good listener, deep and open minded person. I am a people person. I love getting to know new people and learning from them. I love to travel anywhere and anyway. I have lived in Germany and I have worked and studied abroad in many different locations. When I had a surgery on my hip I had to stop playing sports and start from scratch. I began thinking "what do I like and what do I do well?". My friends would always ask me things like: Where should we go for dinner? Would you come with me to the Prado Museum ? Alfonso, How do we get to this place or that? I have always been interested in history, gastronomy and art : the roots of any place culture. The way we the humans interact with the environment. When thinking about my hobbies and these facts about myself I decided that guiding could be something that could appeal to me. Luckily for me, it worked out. Being a tour-guide is a lot being like a student. I am always studying new things, preparing new activities for the tours and learning from people I meet. I started guiding in the tricky city centre of Madrid and afterwords in other cities, museums, palaces etc. In my tours I love to show the real deal of the places we visit, to have local experiences and if possible to interact with locals. I don't like to ignore controversial topics. To go often off the beaten truck. I invite you to do a tour with me , I would be more than happy showing you my city. Overview of your Madrid tour

My grandma was from Aranjuez, when I visited her I always I thought: Well, If people had the chance to visit and know the history of this place better , they would feel in love with Aranjuez as It happened to me or for instanceto the famous artist Santiago Rusiñol, Cervantes, Felipe II and many others. That is why I decided to design a full experience in this World Heritage Site where we would combine history, architecture and also a walk in the gardens paradise which sorrounds Aranjuez. Situated in a low-lying meadow formed by the confluence of the Tagus and Jarama Rivers, the Aranjuez cultural landscape is an entity of complex relationships: between nature and human activity, between sinuous watercourses and geometric landscape design, between forest landscape and the delicately modulated architecture of its palatial buildings. For centuries, the kings and queens of Spain have chosen to spend the spring months. The ideas of the Enlightenment, are embodied here in a balance between nature and man.

We knew that Alfonso is a wonderful tour guide because we had a tour with him last year. This year when we returned to Madrid with our family we picked Alfonso. We had 3 tours with him. He is not only very knowledgeable but also presents information in interesting way. He is very friendly and easily changes plans according our interests. He is wonderful with children and an our 5 year old granddaughter had wonderful time also. Thank you Alfonso. We highly recommend him as a tour guide to everyone.

I loved this tour! Alfonso is an extremely knowledgeable and professional guide. He made the visit to the palace so much more informative and engaging than if I had gone on my own. It's clear that he's very experienced and that he cares deeply about Spain's cultural heritage sites and Spanish history and culture in general. The tapas tour was super fun as well, and Alfonso customized it all to my preferences. He's gregarious and personable, and so it was a real treat when he invited locals into our conversations. The Madrileños we chatted with were super kind and generous, and it really added a sense of authenticity to the experience. Additionally, I had told Alfonso that I'm a Spanish language learner, and that I wanted to do the tour in Spanish. He was also very attentive to this request and took additional steps to explain certain vocabulary and Spanish slang. He has a delightfully Spanish accent, and he spoke slowly enough so that it was easy for me to understand him as a non-native speaker.

This was one of our favorite tours. Everything was perfect: amazing palace, beautiful gardens. During the tour Alfonso treated us as his family showing us most beautiful places.
