I am a local guide who speaks fluent Spanish and native English (albeit with a British accent!) and I'd love to share this part of the world with you, plus all the hidden spots that I have found since moving to Spain. I originally moved to Spain for 10 months. . . six years ago! Having spent this time exploring all sorts of secret places, nooks & crannies in Cadiz Province, I now truly love sharing them! I first began guiding visiting friends & family informally before the pandemic . . . then friends of friends . . . and then mutual friends' acquaintances. This means my tours are laid-back & relaxing. I want us to enjoy our time together and make the most out of your vacation not rushing around, ticking off a checklist. I run guides with three distinct focuses: walking and exploring the beautiful nature of Cadiz; sampling and eating as many tapas & sherry as possible (I have the ability to consume my body weight in them); and meandering through the history and culture of Spain. Whenever possible, I love to combine all three! I also offer Special Cruise Packages in order to allow you to make the most of your day in Cadiz when cruising around Spain. In this case I'd pick you up from the port and drop you back with plenty of time before the ship departs again, and we will discuss what you're most interested in seeing during your day here! As for transportation, I can accompany you in your vehicle or provide a comfortable van with 9 seats (myself and a business partner share driving). Overview of your Cadiz tour
If a full food tour is too much or too long, but you'd still like to get a taste of Cadiz, then this experience is perfect! Over the course of 2.5 hours together, we'll sample some local cheeses, ham, tuna, olives and of course tortilla de camarones (a local speciality!). We'll be trying some other tapas depending on the season and, of course, there'll be the option to try some local wine in my favorite hidden gem! Normally, we aim to try four to five flavors of Cadiz and have 1-2 drinks. Throughout our time together, we'll also be exploring the twisting streets and the culture of Cadiz! I'll point out some recommendations for the rest of your time here and I can pick you up from your hotel/cruise ship. This tour can be customized for you group and is suitable/adaptable for vegetarians, gluten- intolerant, diary/egg/nut allergies. (please message for vegans, kosher, and any other requests!)
Your Cadiz tour itinerary
Once we met and after a quick explore of the ancient history of Cadiz, we'll stop for a drink in one of Cadiz' hidden gems. Here there is the option for some local wines, a Spanish champagne but also non-alcoholic and (un)caffetiated drinks! After this, we'll continue onto to a local taberna to try some cheeses, hams and a local vermut! Now, we need to make some space so before we reach the food market, I'll take you down some really windy streets to see the real Cadiz. Once we get to the market, we'll see (and smell) all the local produce and then get down to the serious business of tasting! We'll be visiting several vendors in the market and also sitting a table with bar stools* in order to have another glass of wine! *If you are uncomfortable with bar stools, please let me know and we can change the route slightly, we'll still visit the market but will make our final stop somewhere with lower and comfier chairs!)

This is a walking tour, normally we walk 1.5-2 miles over the course of 2.5 hours. Due to the heat in Cadiz during summer, I recommend starting earlier in the morning at about 10:30/11 or as an early evening tour!
