Hello! My name is Manuel, Italian born, but with an international heart. Since I was a child, I have been passionate about languages, cultures and history. After completing my studies in Italy, I enrolled in an Egyptology course at the University of Barcelona, where I found my vocation for sharing the past with others. My journey as a tour guide began in 2008, when I left Italy to improve my English, moving to the U.K., followed by experiences in Morocco, Australia and the Netherlands, where I started working as a professional guide. In 2018 I moved to Seville, and later to Cádiz, where I became a fully licensed guide, and currently hold two official guide licenses: GA-07325 and GHP 00630. I completely fell in love with this extraordinary region. Andalusia is a true melting pot of history and traditions, and Cádiz, in particular, has an incredible ancient past and a unique spirit. My tours are not only about history: they are also about gastronomy, local culture, the spirit of the people of Cádiz, and always with a touch of humor. I love bringing history to life, turning old stones into living stories and creating personal experiences for every traveler. As Marcel Proust once wrote: “The only real voyage consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.” This is exactly what I would like to share with you.

Wine has been closely tied to the Iberian Peninsula since ancient times, and this region is no exception. That being said, one particular variety stands out: Sherry. An enologist friend of mine says that when you drink wine, you're not only tasting fermented grapes, but also the soil, the sun & the rain that shaped them. Tasting wine is therefore tasting the land itself. Jerez de la Frontera, home to Sherry wine, is also the most important trading centre & largest city in the province of Cádiz. On this tour, I'll show you the vineyard where the grapes are grown & accompany you inside a traditional bodega in the centre of Jerez de la Frontera, where the final stages of wine-making take place. We'll also explore the highlights of this city, known for its convents & Baroque architecture, in a relaxed experience designed to engage all your senses. Note: Although our required walking for this tour is minimal, since the vineyard ground may be muddy, please contact me in advance in case of reduced mobility.
-After picking you up, we'll drive for about 30 minutes to a vineyard just outside Jerez de la Frontera. -Upon arrival, we'll visit the grape plantations where you'll earn about the wine-making processing techniques applied before harvesting (we'd spend around 45 mins here). -We'll then take a short drive to a small bodega in the city centre, where you'll see the final stages of wine production and enjoy a tasting of 4 Sherry wines. -After our bodega visit, we'll head to Jerez de la Frontera for a short walk where we'll cover Plaza del Arenal, Plaza de la Asunción & the facade of the main Cathedral. Upon request and at no extra charge, we could drive in between the aforementioned city landmarks if you preferred not to walk much. I'd be happy to customize your visit so don't hesitate to contact me before booking if you have special requests. -At last, I'll drive you back to where I picked you up from.

Depending on the size of the group, we'd use either a sedan car or a van, both Mercedes Benz or similar.
Cádiz, Andalusia, Spain
If you're coming in a cruise ship, I could pick you up from the The port of Cadiz. Otherwise, I could pick you up from your lodging in the city.
