History and cultural tourist guide based in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa. Since 2015, I have been working as a freelance tour guide for many tour companies, taking independent travelers and groups on tours around Johannesburg and nearby provinces. It's very exciting to work in the biggest city of South Africa as a tour guide and tour operator. Johannesburg is a Capital of history & Culture in South Africa, since its independence in 1994 as a democratic country. I have qualified as a tourist guide in 2017 and all these years I have become highly specialized in my area, offering a wide range of products. Private tailor-made history and cultural tours together with unique educational, and wild-life experiences. I also provided tickets for the festivals, concerts, and sports Seasons for travelers who visit South Africa for events. As a tourist guide, I'm responsible for implementing enhanced health and safety measures in line with South African travel protocols. These protocols have been developed to optimize recovery efforts by rebuilding confidence among travelers and ensuring a coordinated approach of the global travel & tourism post-COVID19. The key part of the Mineral Revolution in the late 1800 and early 1900 known as the Witwatersrand Gold Rush led to the establishment of Johannesburg, which is the home of the Apartheid Museum. And when the majority of Afrikaners, a group of Dutch won the elections in 1948, where the majority of native blacks, were denied the vote, racial segregation became the official policy throughout the country and laid the concrete foundation for apartheid. The opposition Native parties such as the African National Congress emerged in full force with the intention of liberating the blacks South Africans, and these opened a dialogue about South Africans who experienced apartheid and resisted discrimination. The museum lets you explore the history of the civil rights movement and its impact on our culture today. The museum houses several exhibition items related to famous protests of segregation such 21 March 1960 Sharpville Massacre that led to 69 deaths and the 17 June 1992 Boipatong Massacre that led to 45 deaths.
10h00 - we will begin the day with pick up from your hotel/accommodation. 10h15 - We will drive to Apartheid Museum, check-in at reception, and spend 3 hours there. 11h00 - I'll start the orientation of the Museum and start the tour. 13h00 - Lunch at the restaurant. 14h00 - The tour end and I'll transfer you to your hotel.
