Overview of your Johannesburg tour
We will explore Johannesburg city, and drive across downtown, drive past Newtown sites, Johannesburg Central Business District and Maboneng Sites. From there we will proceed to Soweto Township, Soweto is a neighborhood that was developed for Black people during the start of Apartheid in South Africa, important highlights include Baragwanath Hospital, and a visit to Orlando Cooling Towers (Soweto's famous Landmark), Hector Petersen Memorial site, Nelson Mandela House, Arch Bishop Desmond Tutu House. We will visit the Motsoaledi informal settlements also known as Shanty Town (Optional). This day I take you to Cradle of Humankind - world heritage site, this includes Maropeng visitor center, we call it HOME as the name means ''the place of the origins''.

Suggested itinerary: 08h30 - I'll be collecting you from your hotel/airport at 08:30 Am and go explore the city of Johannesburg, the highlights include, cross iconic Nelson Mandela Bridge - drive past Mary Fitzgerald Square, Newtown sites. 09h30 - we will drive to Soweto - the city that was developed as a township for black people under the apartheid system. 10h00 - Drive past Soweto hostel, Baragwanath Hospital, Orlando Towers. 10h30 - Proceed to Orlando West section, drive past Nelson Mandela House and Desmond Tutu's House - Stop at The Hector Peterson Memorial Site. 11h00 - Depart to Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site. 12h30 - Arrive at Maropeng Visitor Centre. 13h00 - Light Lunch. 13h30 - Orientation Tour. 14h00 - The archaeology tour starts with the underground boat. 15h30 - Tour ends and depart to Johannesburg 16h00 - Arrival in Johannesburg. .
