Welcome to Romania! Born and raised in Bucharest, I've been a tour designer and tailored experience facilitator for 20+ years in Romania. Tango dancer and taichi practitioner with a penchant for cultural experiences and travel; background of law and project management degree. Not a believer of "package tourism". Always willing to go the extra mile in order to provide the guest with the best possible experience. Love to translate my cultural space or deepen the knowledge of the traveler who is curious to discover more. Off and on the beaten path. . . Passionate about exchange of ideas and world cultures. Virtually undiscovered and at the crossroad of many cultural influences, Bucharest can surprise you with its many facets and complicated landscape. It is definitely worth giving it a try. I will be telling you both the legends and the real facts of, still, Europe's best kept secret. We will be touching the most important spots and the less obvious: the old center with bustling life and auberges, turn of the century palaces, squares and gardens, cemeteries and communist decay. I can take you from late medieval to the recent history of my hometown, explain the architectural landscape and familiarize you with the local habits and cuisine. I am ready to customize according to your expectations and interests. If you would like further details, please get in touch! Licenced Tour Manager ; licence K, no. 00170105, issued by Minister of Education and Research of Romania. If a tour of the Parliament is requested the guiding services are provided only by the Parliament staff.

Did you know Romania had the fourth largest Jewish population in the world? The mark of the Jewish culture in the local urban and popular civilization remains a very important one. We visit the architectural elements remaining in what used to be the Jewish quarter of Bucharest. We will walk through the narrow streets flanked by communist apartments blocs and see the community museum, hosted in an ex-temple. See the Great Synagogue with Romanian Holocaust history, the unique Jewish State Theater, passing by the Jewish educational complex. We visit also the Moorish style, recently restored Coral Temple and its amazing 150+ years history. We end with the Holocaust Memorial. Entrance fee: 30 lei/ person ( 5 USD)/ location. Visiting hours: Mon-Thu 9.00 am to 14:00, Fri from 9 - 12:00 am. Museum of the Jewish community is closed on Fridays. All locations are closed during Jewish holidays or for safety reasons, on special occasions. Please inquire.
