The castles of the Prahova Valley private tour

You will be surprised to learn that we have castles built from as far back as 1290, to some of the more modern, in late 1800s. Bran Castle is a 1298 well-preserved fort serving in medieval times as customs entrance gate from Wallachia and used many times as a barrier against the Ottoman invasions in Transylvania. This fort is commonly known, thanks to Bram Stoker, as Dracula Castle. Or Peles Castel, the Royal family summer residence. This is a magnificent piece of art, in and out, and is worth visiting. Please note: on Monday (and on Tuesday, too, during the winter schedule) Peles Castle is closed, only the gardens can be visited! You can choose to see Prejmer Fortress instead of Bran Castle - much larger, more interesting, no big crowds, no traffic jams, entrance fee 25% of the price of the entrance at Bran Castle, authentic souvenirs, interesting story displayed on murals. We will also visit the Old City Center of Brasov - the Black Church and the Rope Street, Old City Council Square.

This is a suggested Itinerary: - leave from Bucharest - drive to Ploiesti - continue to Sinaia and visit Peles Castle - drive to Bran and visit Bran Castle (climbing many steps inside) or Prejmer, you can choose to see this fortified church instead of Bran - Brasov, city center and Black church visit - back to Bucharest.
