Born and raised in Romania, with an interest in spirituality and a healthy life style, I am well-travelled and proud to show you my beautiful country. In the travel business as a travel agent, private tour guide and contract negotiator for travel agencies. I am a private guide that offers private tours in Bucharest, all over Romania and in Bulgaria. We can use a normal car, an SUV, a minivan or even a larger van or bus (14, 16, 20, 35, 40, 53 seats) I can recommend places for accommodation with meals included. If any of my tours does not meet your budget, please feel free to let me know. We can definitely find a solution. Come visit Romania - you will be surprised by the beauty of the places and the quality of the services! Some of my tours will take you to destinations that are not very well known among travellers visiting Romania . . . Be among the first to discover them! I have been working with Foreign citizens (American, Canadian, British, Australian) in and out of Romania, as translator-interpreter, guide, driver, Romanian language teacher, travel agent, contract negotiator, personal assistant, fixer.

Romania is a hidden gem; visiting it, you can easily imagine you are in Austria, or Switzerland, or Russia, or France. I included in this tour the most interesting sites, medieval cities, forts, and fortified churches, each with individual stories waiting to be told. This is where I come in: an experienced local guide, passionate about history and culture as well about the spirituality of this old nation. I have done this tour many times - I can take you to all the interesting places along this itinerary. For example, Peles Castle - the Royal family residence, Brasov Old City Center with the famous Black Church, Viscri Traditional village with the most beautiful fortified church from Transylvania (here we can have home cooked lunch); see Dracula's birth place in Sighisoara, learn about the local divorce laws in Biertan, walk the large public squares in Sibiu!

When you are spending 5 days with a private guide in their van you can only hope they are safe drivers, knowledgeable, patient, friendly and have a sense of humour. Adrian was all this and more. He went above and beyond many times. We left a lot of the suggestions and planning to him and we saw and did everything we hoped to, and more. His lunch spots were always beautiful places and ones we most likely would have not found ourselves. He didn't promise we would see a wild bear but we did! A highlight!!
Adrian, our guide, made this an enriching experience into the true culture and history of Transylvania, which started with Peles Castle & Sinaia Monastery and ended with the outdoor Museum of Ethnography in Sibiu, and many fortified churches in between. A highlight was a spontaneous opportunity to meet colleagues of his in Ungra, touring an 11th century church and sampling homemade wine - a unique, wonderful experience. The wine & food of the region are exceptional - go and see the real Transylvania!
Adrian is an outstanding tour guide! We spent multiple days with him exploring Transylvania, and his insights and local expertise made the trip one we will never forget. Adrian took us to all of the best sites, and he also adjusted the schedule to show us some of the less crowded, and highly memorable spots throughout the area. We would highly recommend Adrian if you are planning a trip to Romania.
Recommended. Very good with being flexible and making alternative arrangements where required.
Transylvania is spectacular and Adrian is a 6-stars tour guide. Based on our travel experience in Transylvania, we think a tour guide is highly recommended and indeed needed especially if you want to see local villages and faraway places. Transylvania is absolutely a travel delight, and Adrian's guided tour enhances the travel experience.
My suggested itinerary: Day 1: - Bucharest - Sinaia (Peles Castle, Sinaia Monastery) - Prejmer Fortress - visit inside - Brasov (city tour, the Black Church - visit inside); - overnight in Brasov. Day 2: - Brasov - short stop for photos at Rupea Fortress and Saschiz Fortress - Viscri (Fortified church and home-cooked lunch) - Sighisoara (city tour, including the Church on the Hill); - overnight in Sighisoara. Day 3: - Sighisoara - Biertan (largest fortified church in Transylvania) - Sibiu (lunch and city tour); overnight in Sibiu. Day 4: - Sibiu: Astra Museum of the Folk Civilisation - open air museum - scenic drive on the Olt River Valley - Bucharest. Romania is still a very safe country from all points of view, regardless of what you might have heard. I can recommend places for accommodation with meals included. I will be with you 8-9 hours daily. If any of my tours does not meet your budget, please feel free and ask for a customized tour. We can definitely find a solution

Subaru Forester SUV model 2010 for driver and max 4 passengers, air conditioning, music. The normal size car is recommended for 1 to 3 passengers. For groups of 4 passengers, the van (4 to 8 passengers) is a much better option! If you are a group of 4, please take this into consideration! If you preffer the van, send me a message and I will send you the link with the updated price (1400 Euro)
