Do you want to visit a completely different country in just one day and find out the differences between Romania and Bulgaria but also the similarities? This tour is one of the best day trips from Bucharest in my opinion. We will cross one of the biggest and most impressive rivers in Europe, the Danube. We will visit and learn about the pious Basarbovo Monastery, the traditional Bulgarian village of Arbanasi and Veliko Tarnovo, the former capital of the mighty Medieval Bulgarian Empire and now probably the most beautiful Bulgarian city. On request, there are many nice restaurants I can recommend. Even though I am Romanian, I spent many holidays south of the border since a very young age. I also guide there for quite a few years now, so I am sure we will make the most of our trip and enjoy a lot!
