My name is Dan, I am 34 and I was born in Timisoara, came to Bucharest when I was seven, but my family originates from all around Romania. With an authentic passion for history (my first book ever read when I learned to do that was a history book), participating in national history contests in high-school and with history University studies, I am enthusiastic in sharing my knowledge with my guests. I started doing private tours with guests from all over the world when I was 20 (and never stopped since then), while I was still studying. A Master's degree in Tourism came naturally and now I manage a 4 star hotel in Bucharest, but doing private tours is still the thing I enjoy the most! Experience the perfect way to see the Paris of the Balkans! Relax and enjoy this 4-hour private tour around Romania's capital in a comfortable BMW 7 series. I am here to show you dozens of landmarks of the city, but also some hidden gems. Explore with me the city that I have been roaming since I was 7 and give me the chance to put my history diploma to good use! We had the most wonderful experience with Dan. He is extremely knowledgeable and we learned so much about Bucharest and Romania that we did not know. The pace of the tour was great and we had an opportunity to take as many pictures as we wanted and we saw things we would not have seen on a group tour. He was on time, very professional, but also very warm and friendly. We would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a tour while visiting this beautiful country. Hands down, Dan is the best guide we’ve ever had. His descriptions and background information on what we saw were complete and easy to follow, and with his history education, especially 20th century Romania, he was able to answer all our questions thoughtfully. And his voice projects well, there were 6 of us and we were all able to hear him. But Dan went above and beyond, He ran to get the parked car to pick us up, he had water for us, he got a stool for our second day when he saw that we had a little trouble climbing into the van… he’s a great guide and a great guy!

Your Bucharest tour itinerary
- pick up from any hotel or address in Bucharest of your choosing - Revolution Square: the former Royal Palace, the University Library, the CCPCR (you will have to take the tour to learn what that means) but I can tell you it is the place where Causescu took his last speech - People's Palace & Constitution Square: Ceausescu's Palace and the current Parliament of Romania - Ceausescu's residence: the place where the famous dictatorial couple actually lived - Victory's Avenue: the most emblematic boulevard of Bucharest - other hidden gems - on request, we can add with no problems other sites like Jewish heritage sites, etc. The tour can be arranged also for up to 8 persons. The tour will be done with a private minivan like a Ford Transit Custom, for the same rate. Please send me a message and request this type of transportation or have other preferences.
