Relax in a 3 day worry-free private tour outside the busy capital city. This is a first time visitor, must-see private tour of Transylvania. It is a fully guided trip to the most famous cities of the Saxon region (Brasov and Sibiu), UNESCO World Heritage Sites like Sighisoara, royal castles and palaces (Bran castle and Peles), fortified churches and monasteries. As I have a strong passion for the heritage/culture and history of this area, I will help you have a full and accurate experience. Transylvania has a rich and diverse cultural background - there are still present more than 5 ethnic communities, each with its specific heritage, architectural style and language. Transylvania is the perfect example of unity in diversity, going on for centuries. Much of that would be seen in the cities I will bring you to. Keep in mind that this itinerary can be customized at the client's request.
Dan was great! He is very knowledgeable and takes time to explain the historical context of all the places visited. We really came away from this tour with a much better grasp of the complicated history of Romania. There’s quite a bit of ground to cover on this tour, but the car is comfortable for 2-3 passengers and Dan is a good driver.
We enjoyed our private tour with Dan. It was informative and an enjoyable experience to see more of Romania and Transylvania with a local who is passionate about the varied architecture in the towns. Dan was accommodating with including the salt mines in our tour which we found amazing. Dan was a safe driver. His car was comfortable and clean. We highly recommend him for your tour.
Here is what you can expect to see in 3 days: Day 1, Morning departure from your location in Bucharest (8 AM). Visit: - Peles palace in Sinaia. - The day continues with the second important museum - Bran castle. - Walking tour of Brasov's old town. - Arrive in the evening, approx. 8 PM to Sighisoara where you will be accommodated. (12 hours tour) Day 2, Walking tour of the citadel in Sighisoara. - On the way to Sibiu, - time to visit Biertan church and - the fortifications of Alba Iulia. - Overnight in Sibiu. (10 hours) Day 3, Morning city tour of Sibiu. - Transfer from Transylvania back to Bucharest; - on the way take your time to visit the monasteries of Cozia - and Curtea de Arges. - Arrive in Bucharest at your location in the evening.
