I am your tour guide, Andreea, your new friend in Romania! I am looking forward to meeting you and sharing with you my experiences, my knowledge and my love for my city and my country! I have a genuine interest in meeting new people, from all over the world. That's why I don't consider tour guiding a job but rather a hobby, directly connected to my traveling around the world! I became a licensed tour guide in 2019, following an older dream of mine, since about 10 years before, when I first started to consider this profession. I have started with a bike tour in Bucharest and eventually came across my favorite tour: Life in Communism. I did a lot of research on it because I realized it answers many of my personal questions, regarding Romanian's (including myself) nowadays behavior and lifestyle and, as much as I learned about the regime, I got more and more interested in the subject. At the end of the day, it finally made sense my choice to follow the studies of the Political Science University in Romania. . . I was born and raised in Bucharest, during the Communist regime, and I consider myself privileged to have witnessed all the changes in this city, an the country itself, in the past 30 years. I know my city's history, secret spots, main attractions but I will also share information regarding it's people and the life in Romania, altogether. I will also introduce you to some of our traditions and help you experience local cuisine and beverages. I am a happy person, full of life, passionate about my work, eager to meet people and to help them discover the real experience of Bucharest and Romania. I am also willing to shape my tours based on your specific needs so please feel free to ask about anything you might like to experience in this beautiful, amazing country of ours! Looking forward to meeting you :) I hold a license as a National Tour guide since 2019. I hold a license in Political Science from the National School of Political and Administrative Studies, obtained in 2007 None

If you are a foodie like I am, and if you still didn't try any of the many tasty Romanian delicacies, then I must invite you to join me for a unique experience of tasting our local food. On this walking tour in Bucharest, I am taking you on an everlasting journey that combines history, traditional food, and local drinks, spiced up with personal stories and some local recipes ;). Immerse yourself in the authentic Romanian way of life, feel like a local and listen to stories about our long culture, tradition and history. We will go through all the major "eras" in Romanian history that have brought their impact on today's life and, of course, today's Romanian cuisine. Walk the streets of Little Paris and discover old inns, ride the tram and explore famous local markets, have a taste of real local Bucharest. Bun venit in casa mea, Welcome to my home!
- We meet in front of Hanu’ lu Manuc (Manuc’s Inn, in Old Town) and we will have our fist stop in this very old inn, where we will taste a selection of cold salads. - We continue through the Old Town, have some more taste of street food (pastry from childhood) and then we will embark in a tram ride towards a local peasant market: Obor Market. - In Obor Market you will continue your culinary journey with some traditional "mici", in the best place in Bucharest to taste this local dish. You will get the chance to purchase (if you want) local ingredients: garden vegetables, special local cheese and cold cuts, directly from the manufacturer. - On the way back, we will enjoy the Romanian donut, and you will get to understand why it is a "local dish" This tour can be customised, feel free to contact me with your questions.
