Home cooked lunch and a trip to the Muddy Volcanoes/ or wine tasting
Overview of your Bucharest tour
We travel 100 km North of Bucharest for a home-cooked traditional lunch in a Romanian home and a trip to the Muddy Volcanoes. Depending on the season, lunch includes appetizers, soup, the famous Romanian "sarmale" (cabbage rolls), zacusca (eggplant and other vegetables cooked together), boeuf salad, dessert (also homemade jam), homemade wine, and/or homemade brandy. Before or after lunch we can go visit the Muddy Volcanoes in the area (about 45 minutes drive from where we have lunch). At your request, we can also replace the trip to the Muddy Volcanoes with wine tasting in a winery. Lunch recipes can be modified according to your choice/special diet. Not only that all dishes are homemade. . . the ingredients are homegrown therefore the taste is quite different! Romania is still a very safe country from all points of view, regardless of what you might have heard. I can recommend places for accommodation with meals included.
