Overview of your Bucharest tour
We visit the Unirea Salt Mine from Slanic - Prahova, the largest salt mine in Europe, located 208 m under the ground. Inside the mine you can find a small history museum, a soccer field, a children's playground. It is breathtaking to be walking inside the mine; there are just a few places in the world where you can admire such a huge underground structure! As local guide, I know a very nice winery from Buzau County; a short tour of the winery along with a taste of some of the Premium and Super-Premium wines of the winery will make your day. Muddy Volcanoes from Buzau County - the largest location with mud volcanoes in Europe! Enjoy the lunar landscape and admire the high contrast of the site compared to the green hills around it Romania is still a very safe country from all points of view, regardless of what you might have heard. I can recommend places for accommodation with meals included.

What a great day. Adrian showed me the inner workings of the salt mines. It was a beautiful and magical place. I was not disappointed with this part of the tour. Plus the wine tasting was very informative while providing a taste of great Romanian wines. And you are able to end the day with either an impressive sight of the mud volcanoes or the monastery where Vlad the Impaler is buried. How could you ask for a better way to end the day.

Adrian gave a great tour of the countryside of Romania. We enjoyed the salt mines and how huge they were. I still can't get over how impressive they were. Michael really enjoyed the winery and can't wait to open up the bottles we purchases. The tour was beyond our expectations. You were an excellent guide. Over all it was a fantastic day.

For us this was day 3 with Adrian and another fun day. The salt mine is unbelievable, the wine superb and the muddy volcano the "Old Faithful" of Romania. These are not places you would get to see on an ordinary tour but add to the flavor of Romania. Another 5 star day for Adrian, a wonderful gentleman who truly loves what he does.
Your Bucharest tour itinerary
This is a suggested itinerary: - Bucharest - drive to Slanic Salt Mine (Slanic, Prahova County) - drive-in with local transportation and walking in the mine (constant temperature of 12 degrees Celsius - 54 Fahrenheit, bring a jacket!) - Lacerta Winery (Fintesti, Buzau County) - winery tour and wine tasting - Muddy Volcanoes (Paclele Mari, Buzau County). Walking around older and newly formed volcanos. Photo time! - I can recommend good places for a traditional lunch, optional. -Drive back to Bucharest. The transportation is provided by Subaru Forester SUV, model 2010, 5 people capacity including the driver, air conditioning, radio-mp3 player. Modern, clean car, in perfect running condition. The normal size car is recommended for 1 to 3 passengers. For groups of 4 passengers, the van is a much better option! If you are a group of 4, please take this into consideration.
