While Bran Castle is known as the fortress of Count Dracula, Peles Castle is the charming, elegant and modern summer residence of King Carol I of Romania. Not far from the busy capital city, I will show you landscapes and royal retreats which stood the test of time, to give you in the 21 st century the authentic experience of a fairy tale land. This is more than just seeing another monument or museum, it's about meeting new people, interacting with the locals, share smiles and trying the local food. And exactly this I am offering you!
Your Bucharest tour itinerary
This private tour will accustom you to the most visited tourist attractions outside Bucharest: Peles and Bran Castles and their surroundings. - Bucegi mountains (Carpathians) - panoramic views - Peles Castle (Sinaia), relaxed walks of 5 minutes to/from the museum - Sinaia Monastery - alternative for Peles castle, easy access - Bran Castle (Transylvania); it's a bit more challenging access then Peles; combine the 1 hour visit and moderate walk/ climb to get to the castle with some relaxed time for lunch and souvenirs shopping at the traditional market located next to the castle. IMPORTANT INFO: Peles castle is closed on certain dates and it will be substituted with a visit at the XVII century Sinaia monastery, a fascinating monument in the same mountain resort. Peles castle is closed for visiting: Summer - closed on Mondays. Winter - closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Keep in mind that this private tour of royal castles can be customized upon request.
