Hello, my name is Cristi. I am 46 years old and I was born and raised in Bucharest, the capital city of Romania and I am proud and hapy to live here. I started working as a courier and then for the past 11 years I have been in the tourism business. I did transfers and private tours in Romania and in the neighbouring Eastern European countries. I have been collaborating with most of the Romanian travel agencies and the river cruises companies that are operating on the Danube. It is a great job, I find it very exciting and rewarding. I get to be the 'ambassador' of my country and I get to meet travelers from all around the world, getting to know different cultures and mentalities. When I am not working my favourite things to do are traveling all over the world, riding motorcycles, cycling, hiking and breeding pigeons. I am a very active person, I love traveling all over the word and I spend a lot of time in the Carpathian Mountains. I am looking forward to meet you and show you my wonderful country! I have a Tourism License from the Romanian Ministry of Tourism and Transportation I am a Program Director / Cruise Manager for an American Company ,on the Danube river . Two natural wonders in one day, starting from Bucharest
Overview of your Bucharest tour
In this tour you will have the chance to see and experience two natural wonders, the second largest Salt Mine in Europe , where people are coming for the therapeutic benefits and the wild Muddy Vulcanoes. First stop is Unirea Salt Mine from Slanic region, located in the Subcarpathian hills. Also here they have seven salted lakes. The salt mine is located 208 meters underground it is known for its healing effects, due to the purity of the air having a constant temperature inside of 12 degrees Celsius ( 54 Fahrenheit ). It is impressive by size, being one of the largest in Europe. After this on the way to the Muddy Volcanoes we are going to drive through some traditional villages. The Muddy Volcanoes are located in the national park and they are still active, spreading mud, you will witness a unique phenomenon.

A wonderful tour by Cristi, through the Romanian countryside to the Slanic Salt Mines and Mud volcanoes. Cristi was very informative, helpful and interesting for the whole trip. The salt mine was incredible and then Cristi topped that with the Mud Vocanoes. If you do nothing else this is the tour to take out of Bucharest and do it with Cristi, not some uncaring tour company. He took us to a local restaurant for lunch and introduced as to local dishes which was much appreciated. The whole day was fabulous.
