Welcome to Romania! Born and raised in Bucharest, I've been a tour designer and tailored experience facilitator for 20+ years in Romania. Tango dancer and taichi practitioner with a penchant for cultural experiences and travel; background of law and project management degree. Not a believer of "package tourism". Always willing to go the extra mile in order to provide the guest with the best possible experience. Love to translate my cultural space or deepen the knowledge of the traveler who is curious to discover more. Off and on the beaten path. . . Passionate about exchange of ideas and world cultures. Virtually undiscovered and at the crossroad of many cultural influences, Bucharest can surprise you with its many facets and complicated landscape. It is definitely worth giving it a try. I will be telling you both the legends and the real facts of, still, Europe's best kept secret. We will be touching the most important spots and the less obvious: the old center with bustling life and auberges, turn of the century palaces, squares and gardens, cemeteries and communist decay. I can take you from late medieval to the recent history of my hometown, explain the architectural landscape and familiarize you with the local habits and cuisine. I am ready to customize according to your expectations and interests. If you would like further details, please get in touch! A “stop and taste” experience. Although reduced to a few gastronomic clichés during the Communist period, Romanian cuisine is in a process of self rediscovery in the last 20 years or so. After pick up from hotel we hide in the tiny, local comfort food bistros of Bucharest. The menus are rich and dishes flavored. Soups, stews, dumplings, it is at the crossroads of several cultures, including middle eastern and central European but with its very own touch. We pull over, try a dish and a drink and move on to the next. This would take you to about 3-4 spots for the night. Should you enjoy more one place, we can stay for 2 dishes or more, entirely up to you and your taste buds. For the ultimate experience is "carte blanche" meaning it is all down to our chef where options include a range of 9, 11, 15 or 20 courses; of course, it is a tasting menu and needs booking several days or even weeks before. Our evening can end in the hidden Bucharest with an appropriate wine menu, cozy atmosphere to take home for the night
- Restaurants, bistros and taverns with Romanian comfort, reinterpreted or experimental cuisine; - please keep in mind that on religious holidays and summer vacations some of the venues might decide to close
