¡Hola! Welcome to Panama! My name is Sharon, and I'd love to show you around my beautiful country! I was born and raised in Panama City, and I've been working in the tourism industry since 2003. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Tourism and Hotel Management and am a licensed tour guide by the Panama Tourism Authority. Throughout my career, I've worked in different areas of tourism, including airline reservations, tour operations, hotels, and event planning. However, being a tour guide is especially rewarding because it allows me to meet people from around the world while sharing the history, culture, and traditions of my country. Panama has so much to offer! From the fascinating Panama Canal and the charming streets of Casco Viejo to the tropical rainforest and indigenous communities, there's always something interesting to discover. One of my favorite experiences is visiting an Embera Indigenous Village, where travelers have the opportunity to learn about local traditions while enjoying the beauty of nature. I enjoy offering personalized tours in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, giving visitors the opportunity to explore Panama, ask questions, and discover places beyond the usual tourist attractions. Whether you're visiting Panama for the first time or returning to explore more, I'll be happy to help you plan a memorable experience. Feel free to contact me with any questions or requests for customized tours. I look forward to welcoming you to Panama! ¡Hasta pronto! :) *Education and Professional Training* - Bachelor's Degree in Tourism and Hotel Management, Universidad Latina de Panamá, Panama. - Licensed Tour Guide, Panama Tourism Authority. - Certificate in Tourism Development and Environmental Protection for Developing Countries, Harbin University of Commerce and Heilongjiang University, China. - Certificate in Tourism and Recreation, Universidad de Panamá, Panama.

Your adventure begins with a drive to El Corotu Port on Lake Alajuela, where Embera hosts welcome you aboard traditional dugout canoes for a scenic ride along the Chagres River through lush rainforest. Weather permitting, enjoy a refreshing swim at Quebrada Bonita Waterfall. Reaching it requires a short hike, including walking through water and over rocks. Expect to get wet! At the Embera village, discover local traditions through music, dance, handicrafts, and body painting. Enjoy a traditional lunch of fried fish, plantains, and tropical fruit, with time to shop for crafts or try temporary body paint. Return by canoe to El Corotu Port, then drive to your drop-off location. What to bring: Wear your swimsuit under your clothes, as there are no changing facilities upon arrival. Bring a change of light clothes, towel, sunscreen, insect repellent, water shoes with good grip or hiking sandals, hat, sunglasses, and cash for handicrafts.
