✈️Private Panama City Tour + Panama Canal Experience (Layover Friendly)

Wonderful tour including the historic center and visit to the canal. Canal was overwhelmed with tourists, line to see 3D IMAX was over an hour so skipped, and viewing stand too small for crowd (luckily I am 6 foot and could see most over the heads of others standing. Guides knowledge was outstanding and enjoyed the full tour

Miguel provided an excellent city tour. While we were driving from the airport to the Panama Canal, he told us about the history of the city and its current status. He also gave us some background on the country of Panama., including the development of the Canal from the French attempt to its current status. After the visit to the Canal, we drove along the causeway that fronts the ocean, including a stop for a snack. While we were enjoying our snack and the view, we discussed the political history of Panama and the relationship between Panama and the USA. We then toured around the old city. Here too Miguel provided historical and current information about the buildings and their uses. While driving to the city and then back to the airport, we had excellent views of the interesting tall buildings in downtown Panama. While driving Miguel also explained the industries and services that provide employment for the residents. We especially appreciated that in our discussions, Miguel was sensitive to an responsive to our particular interests. By the end of the tour we felt we had a good understanding of Panama City and the country as a whole. We heartily recommend that anyone looking to spend several hours touring Panama City select Miguel as their guide. Thank you Miguel.

Miguel was such a magnificent host and tour guide! From the moment we first interacted, Miguel made us feel more like family than just another client. If we all reflected Miguel's thoughtfulness, kindness, patience, and generosity, this world would be an absolutely wonderful place! Miguel seemed more interested in fulfilling our desire to gain as much understanding about the history people, and culture of Panama than he did in guarding his time. There are simply not enough words available to articulate Miguel's positivity, warmth, and the way he enriched our lives. As we return to Panama with family and friends in the future, we look forward to tapping into Miguel's knowledge and passion of his country again. While we enjoyed our entire trip to Panama, Miguel made the trip much, much richer and more memorable.

Miguel was an outstanding guide. His English was excellent, and he made our tour of the Panama Canal incredibly interesting. We explored the two locks on the Caribbean side and were fascinated watching the roll-on/roll-off ships that carry thousands of vehicles through the canal. My husband and I couldn’t stop talking afterward about how much we learned from him. Miguel also gave us wonderful dinner recommendations in downtown Panama City. If you’re visiting Panama City, Miguel should definitely be your guide.

We had the most incredible experience with our guide, Miguel. He gave us an amazing tour of Panama City, including the Panama Canal and the beautiful historic streets of Casco Viejo.
