The Panama Canal operates using fresh water, about 26 million gallons are used in each lockage and now with the new canal the challenge is even bigger, to meet this demand of fresh water, the canal uses 3 man made lakes, the largest of them: Gatun Lake, with an extension of a little more than 168 square miles is the habitat of a variety of species of mammals, birds, reptiles and fish, it is in this tour that we can appreciate the exuberant nature, the tropical humid rainforest that is the home of capuchin monkeys, howlers and tamarin monkeys, depending on the luck you can see crocodiles, turtles, iguanas among other species, come and enjoy this beautiful experience while the huge ships that cross the canal on their journey, amaze us with their great size.
