My name is Javier Nuñez, I was born in Panama. I am a tour guide in my country with 15 years of experience. What led me to become a tour guide in Panama was my love for my country and the realization that with this beautiful profession I would have the opportunity to show tourists from around the world the wonderful places that Panama has to offer, including its beaches on both the Pacific and Atlantic coasts, its forests and natural parks, and it would allow me to tell them about our history, which dates back to the arrival of the first human groups in the 1500s, followed by the Spanish conquest, the colonial era, and our independence. Or how the construction of the Panama Canal began in the 1800s by the French and was completed in 1914 by the Americans. Having the opportunity to show you more about our culture, cuisine, indigenous reserves, and all the wonders of this small country with a huge heart will make your stay unforgettable. Overview of your Panama City tour
Come and enjoy an unforgettable experience in our Embera indigenous community, where you will have the opportunity to share with them and learn much more about their culture, traditions, and way of life. This place is a complete wonder, and we will be able to observe the happiness and kindness of its people with our own eyes. We will take a canoe, their means of transportation, and travel approximately 30 minutes upriver. We will have the opportunity to observe the fauna and flora that exist in our national park. Then we will take a 20-minute hike along a trail to reach an impressive waterfall, where we will have the opportunity to take a refreshing dip in the water that flows directly from the mountain. Afterwards, we will return to the community where we will have lunch of fish with patacones, their traditional food. We will dance and delight in fresh fruits from our region, while they explain their culture and how they arrived at the national park. This place preserves their culture.
Your Panama City tour itinerary
8:00am - Leave the Hotel. 8:30am - Quick stop for gifts to the native. 9:30 am -Take the canoe to the waterfall. 11:00 am - Going to the village (Explanations of their culture, traditions and dance). 12:30 pm - Traditional Embera Lunch. 1:00 pm - Walking around the "houses". 2:00 pm - Leave the Village back to the car. 3:00 pm - Back in the Hotel.
