Unesco sites of Panama City

Juan Jose provided a great tour that took into account the weather and physical limitations of the tour members. He was very informative about the history and locations Casco Viejo and Panamá Viejo, set a nice pace, and included a refreshment stop. He was very flexible for our requests. It is a great way to spend half a day and see the essential sites of Panamá City.

We have used Tours By Locals numerous times and they have always delivered a great experience. However, Juan has now set the bar to an all time high level. He is not only very personal, knowledgeable and kind, but he not only gave us a remarkable tour in his very comfortable van, but he went above and beyond in delivering an experience that none of us will ever forget. We told him that we wanted high end Panamanian Hats and he took us to an unbelievable store and then one of the best restaurants we could of ever thought of - an old monastery which was converted into a restaurant. If you are coming to Panama City, do yourself a favor and hire Juan - you’ll be glad you did.

Juan was an excellent guide and well worth what we paid. His knowledge of Panamanian history and culture is vast, he is open and friendly, and a good driver as well. We highly recommend this tour and the guide.

When we disembarked from our cruise, Juan met our shuttle promptly. His commentary during our van tour was very informative. We saw both modern and historic landmarks and had a tasty lunch before arriving at our hotel. We were staying in the Casco Viejo and Juan's tour provided was a great orientation!

Juan was our guide for the UNESCO World Heritage tour of the Old City. He was friendly, very informative, and took us to areas that tourists don't usually visit, which was very interesting. He's a great guide.
