My name is Luis, I am a Certified guide with 20 years of experience working all around my beautiful country. Our journey today starts with a visit to the Old Canal Zone as we drive through the former Military bases and neighbourhoods that made this important part of our history. We will then make a stop at the Miraflores Locks to see first hand the operation of the Panama Canal. After this we will then head to Casco Viejo for a walking tour through the historic center which is home to beautiful restored colonial houses and interesting architecture, beautiful cathedrals and plazas. We can enjoy some local flavors in the area as well. We finish our tour with a visit to the Amador Causeway. Tour duration is flexible
Luis was beyond fabulous. Everything about our tour was perfect. Better than any group tour our cruise line would’ve arranged. We were 7 people. Everyone loved our tour. Luis answered every question. Took us to the cutest cafe for lunch. Everything was exceptional. Gracias Luis.
Had a wonderful tour with Luis on our port stop to Panama City. Easy meet up directly outside the port. Very nice and comfortable transportation for our group. Luis tailored a tour to the things we wished to visit and suggested things we were not aware of. Pointed out many things in the city on our way to our nature walk in the jungle and stopped for quick visits and pictures at some of them. Great walk through the jungle with lots of interesting “jungle facts”. Went on walking tour of the old city. Luis filled us with lots of historical facts as well as current events in the area. Easy, safe walk. Stopped for refreshments and bio breaks. Never rushed and accommodating to us. On way back to port we asked if there was a spot near the port we could grab a local beer. Luis took us and filled us with more info and then drove us the short ride to the ship.
What a fantastic day! Luis showed us the old town and its beauty as well the amazing canal. The day could not had been better
Luis was a wonderful guide, very knowledgeable and personable. the trip to the miraflores locks was great. Walking through the old city , saw some beautiful architecture and Luis gave a very good description of the history.
We enjoyed our tour with Luis. He accommodated our requests of sites to see on the tour. He was very informative and had lots of detail on what we were seeing. Our driver was great too!
We were so lucky to have Luis as our guide today. He was very good at communicating before the tour. He was waiting for us at the pier with a clear sign. His timing for our group was great. We had a group of eight people ranging in ages from 13-81 and all of our needs were met, which is a very difficult task to accomplish! Luis was knowledgeable about the history of the area. It was wonderful to speak with him about the culture, politics, history of his country. I highly recommend him.
Starting hour is flexible and can be arranged depending on your needs. After meeting we depart to former Canal Zone, Albrook, Clayton. Panama Canal at the Miraflores Locks. Goethals monument and Administration Building. From there we drive to Colonial Panama (1673) where we will walk around the Historic Plazas and churches of this Unesco World Heritage Site. We will close our tour with a visit to the Amador Causeway. Drive back to your hotel/port.
