Full-day Tour in Vilnius Old Town & Magical Trakai

If you were never fond of history classes at school as it was too many numbers and not enough of interesting stuff - this is a tour for you. And even if you are a history buff - this is a tour for you, as Lithuania has it all - amazing history of hundreds of years, head turning sights, heart melting stories, fascinating people and loads of photo ops. We start this tour by walking around the UNESCO Vilnius Old town, that will be followed by lunch at a local place tasting some local cuisine. After lunch we will continue with a 40min drive outside of Vilnius, to a town called Trakai, considered the de facto medieval Lithuanian capital. Trakai Castle is a red brick, fairy-tale like fortress built by Duke Vytautas and his father in the 14-15th centuries. After our visit to the main attraction - the Trakai Island Castle - we'll take a serene walk through Trakai to explore some more or maybe we'll take a short boat ride on the lake, if you wish.
