Professional local tour guide is greeting you from Lithuania. Guiding in Vilnius is my never-ending passion. Born and brought up in Vilnius I feel I hear its heartbeat and know all its secrets; but every time walking along its winding cobblestone streets you find something new, still unseen. If not a treasure it may appear a very precious discovery for you! who knows! Just keep being curious looking all around yourself exploring this world! And you'll never stop enjoying your life! I'll be glad, my dearest traveller, to share my knowledge with you and to show you my city and my country helping spot its peculiarities and contrasts and explore its unique life. I've been a licensed tour guide since 2006 and I find my job very rewarding for it gives me the opportunity to meet people from different continents, exchange our views and experience, discuss controversial topics, understand differences and similarities between the countries. I am also open to design exceptional tours according to your interests, happy to see my native place through a new lens! So, let's enjoy Vilnius together! As well as Trakai, Kaunas, Klaipeda, Nida and other Lithuania' s places. See you in Lithuania! -Guide license № 006202 issued by Lithuanian State Department of Tourism in 2006; -Master's degree in Vilnius University (Linguistics, Literary and Cultural studies); -Bachelor's degree in English Philology; -Tour guide qualification courses at Vilnius Tourism center; -Guide accreditation at Trakai Castle Historical Museum I am not a driver. Today you are being chauffeured to the stunning Trakai Historical National Park located 25 kilometers from Vilnius and famous for its eye-catching views of natural and historical sites alike. You will visit one of the most beautiful Lithuania's towns well-known for its Medieval Castles and 19th-century Užutrakis Palace. Trakai, the former capital of Lithuania, is situated on a picturesque peninsula surrounded by 5 lakes. Nowadays it is our capital of sports and culture: different international festivals, performances, open-air markets and workshops, concerts and sporting events are held here. Trakai is also considered to be a spiritual and cultural centre by the community of the Karaites , the smallest ethnic and religious minority living in Lithuania since the 14th century. This unique multicultural town is one of the most popular tourist attractions in our country. Opportunity abounds for both history and nature lovers at this park!
- Typically we pick you up at the hotel. - Аs we're leaving Vilnius for Trakai and driving from the centre towards suburban districts you'll have a chance to observe our capital city from various angles . - While approaching Trakai we'll talk about Lithuania's past and present, daily life and current affairs. - As soon as we arrive in Trakai, on the way to the Castle Island , we cross 2 pedestrian bridges and travel 7 centuries backwards(!) - After the visit to the Trakai Island Castle Museum we'll walk along the shores of Galve Lake to admire the views of 19th-century Užutrakis Manor and the ruins of 14th-century Peninsula Castle. - Later we take a walk down Karaim street with its beautiful wooden houses and the Karaite temple called Kenesa. - In your free time I suggest you taste traditional Karaim meat pastries called kibinai, take a boat trip on Galve Lake or just look for local souvenirs. -On the way back we can take another road around the lakes through the peaceful and tranquil Lithuania's countryside
