My name is Erika. I was born and raised in Vilnius. Since childhood being interested in architecture, arts and history I find this city my constant inspiration. It is breath taking and full of secrets. However, Vilnius' beauty is not striking but unfolds step by step only for those who are able to open their harts and minds in anticipation of something unusual and astonishing. Working as a professional guide since 2005 I'm so pleased to share my knowledge and passion about my beloved Vilnius and Lithuania. I help my travelers to fall in love to this city by unveiling its treasures, well-know and unknown facts, stories and jokes. Come and see it yourself! My most beloved part of the city is its Old Town. There are so many treasures and different layers of information hidden here! On my tours I love to show essential Vilnius highlights in order to get impression about the city but at the same time I try to show less known but not less interesting places or tell local stories one would not find in any guidebook. At the same time I can easily tailor my tour according to travelers wishes and requests. - Lithuanian language and literature in Vilnius University. - The International Business School at Vilnius University. - Guide courses by Tourist Information Center (by finishing it I was issued a guide license). - Various courses in advanced guide training and art history. None

This tour combines two must see places if you are in Lithuania. We'll visit a few iconic sites of Vilnius: Cathedral Square, some of most interesting architecturally and historically churches, streets and courtyards of the Old Town. Then we'll go to Trakai - a cozy little town located in the national and historical park. The beauty of the nature sets a great background for the Trakai Island Castle built in the Middle Age. I promise you a day full of information and fun as well as unforgettable experience.
- In the morning we will start our exploration of the most beautiful and important sites of the Old Town: Cathedral Square, Vilnius University (from outside), Pilies and Bernardinu streets, some breathtaking churches, hidden courtyards and streets. Our walk will be filled with interesting stories, legends and rumors from the past up to the present. You will have and opportunity to learn about people of Vilnius, their lives, love and struggle through the time. - The second part of the tour will take us to Trakai, the former medieval capital of Lithuania, currently well known for its Island Castle. Before visiting it we are going to have well a deserved lunch in one of the most authentic local places and try some national dishes and learn about Lithuanian cuisine. We'll finish with the visit of the Castle which is a great place to learn some history of Lithuania, its greatest and the worst times.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
This tour is partly walking and partly driving. While exploring the sites we'll be walking but to Trakai we are going by my private car.
