It's one of the most important museums in Lithuania. The main residence of the rulers of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania was built in the 13th century, and in the 15th century, it became a luxurious Italian Renaissance-style palace. Unfortunately, the palace was damaged and abandoned after the war with Russia in the 17th century and completely destroyed 200 years ago. Lithuanians always dreamed of rebuilding the main residence of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and Lithuanians did it in 2009. Explore the history, maps, archaeological findings, and recreated rooms of the rulers with a local guide who will share many interesting stories. Almost 500, 000 archaeological findings were discovered in the area, including parts of houses from the 13th-14th centuries, wells, tiles, weapons, craftsmen's tools, jewelry, and many other items. Ticket price 10EUR per adult is not included in tour price.
