My name is Gabija (shorter Gabi). I was born and raised in Lithuania. For the last couple of years I live in the capital of Lithuania, which is my favourite city of all the cities I've visited or lived in. My guiding experience started as a hobby while I was still studying at school in Marijampole (a town in the South of Lithuania). I was always asked to show the city for the first-time visitors, mostly my friends from scouts groups from other Lithuanian regions. There were some foreigners also, although the town was not too touristic back then. I was always willing to communicate, especially in English, so I enjoyed those short excursions. For a long time guiding was just a hobby as I was too young to get a guide diploma, which is obligatory in Lithuania. One must have a Bachelor's degree in order to become an official guide. Now I hold three "degrees" - one is Spanish Philology, one in Interoreting and the third one is my beloved guide license. When I finished school, I moved to Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania which I adore. This city is very compact, but has everything one might wish for. Vilnius has lots of museums, cinemas, clubs, parks, hiking paths, two rivers, the Arts district, a castle and the best panoramas one could find in a city. Every time when I come back from a trip I realise how happy I am to live here. I travel a lot both for studies&work and for leisure. I have visited around 30 countries and lived in Argentina, Brazil, Spain, Czech Republic, Australia, and the Emirates. As the tourism season here in Lithuania is short, I spend a lot of time with my two biggest passions: dog training and photography. I hope that every traveller who visits Vilnius admires it. My job is to make it happen. Lithuanian guide license Spanish Philology Bachelor None.

Vilnius is a true jewel of Lithuania and all Baltic region. During the tour, I will explain to you how the architecture shows the history of Vilnius - starting from Medieval ages and running its way to modern life. You will see the most beautiful churches in the city (they have interesting stories even if you are not too religious!) Together we will explore the multiculturalism of Vilnius where lots of different nationalities live together for ages. I will show you the "Baltic gold" - amber and explain its importance for the region. I will also recommend the most typical dishes of Lithuanian kitchen so you would be able to enjoy them after our tour. However, we will not speak only about the past - the present is important also! I will give you the insights of modern Vilnius. We will visit Užupis district - the Republic of Arts which every day is different. It is like a country within a city! My goal is to show why Lithuanians love Vilnius and why this city is so special.
