My name is Lukas. I'll be happy to walk around with you and show you the places and tell the stories about my town. I know good local restaurants, SPA centers, hotels and I can't recommend them for you. It is interesting to stop for traditional food tasting during the excursion. We can also do one or two days tour with bikes in the beautiful Lithuanian nature or to visit the Hill Of Crosses with more than 100 000 crosses on the hill. I am a licensed guide in the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania, KGB museum (Museum of Occupation and Freedom Fights, Gediminas castle, Trakai historical museum in Trakai castle. Let me know if you are thinking to visit the Hill of Crosses, Kaunas, Pakruojis manor, Beekeeping museums in our national parks, the first capital of Lithuania- Kernave, Curonian spit, SPA town Druskininkai or another beautiful place of our country. I would like to invite you to a half-day Jewish heritage tour in Vilnius. In the 19th century, Vilnius was known as the 'Jerusalem of the North,' and Yiddish culture flourished here. We will follow the traces of Jewish culture in Vilnius' Old Town, where the Great Synagogue was built, and where the Vilna Gaon lived. I will also share stories and show places associated with many other famous Lithuanian Jewish figures. We will explore the area that was the Jewish ghetto during the Holocaust, including the locations of the Judenrat (Jewish Council), the theater, and the library

1. Small Jewish Ghetto: Includes the Vilna Gaon sculpture and the site of the Great Synagogue of Vilnius, where archaeologists discovered parts of the Bimah (pulpit) and the ritual bath (Mikvah). 2. Vilnius Ghetto: Features memorial plaques, sculptures, historic streets, uncovered inscriptions, the Jewish Culture Center, the former Ghetto Theater, and the Judenrat building. 3. Vilnius Choral Synagogue: The only surviving synagogue in Vilnius, an important center for Jewish worship and community life. 4. Resistance Site: The location where the resistance against the Nazis began, where Abba Kovner delivered his famous call to arms. 5. Jascha Heifetz's First Performance: The venue where the renowned violinist Jascha Heifetz gave his first public performance. This is a very general description; I will show you more along the way.
