Overview of your Vilnius tour
Kaunas is the second largest city in Lithuania. We will start from the symbolic map of Kaunas -a stunning view from the Christ's Resurrection Church, which is also a symbol of Lithuanian fights for the freedom. This church is a masterpiece of the modern architecture. Going down the Zaliakalnis Hill we will see the oldest funicular in Lithuania, from 1931s. Continuing to the longest pedestrian street in The Eastern Europe - Laisves aleja ( the avenue of Freedom), where you will evaluate the unique interwar period architecture. Entering the old town we will visit the Jesuit Church and Monastery, The Holy Trinity Church and the Old Post Office with two sculptures of dogs. The cathedral will charm you by its enormous dimensions, Vytautas Church and The Thunder House are the examples of Gothic style in Kaunas. Next to Kaunas Castle and St. George's Church. Passing the Catholic Seminary we will reach The City Hall Square and the City Hall which is called the white swan. After a walk, time for a chosen museum.

Agnieska was a delightful tour guide! Our Half Day Kaunas tour was our first full day in Lithuania, and Agnieska provided a wonderful tour of both Kaunas' past and present. Kaunas is a 1.15-hour drive from Vilnius, and during the drive, Agnieska shared many stories about what life was like growing up under Soviet rule and how life has changed since Lithuania became independent. We had a second tour with Agnieska the following day, and by then, we were very familiar with each other and had plenty of good laughs. Additionally, we sampled lots of Lithuanian delicacies that only a local would know where to find. She loves her country, and we got to see Lithuania through her eyes. We highly recommend Agnieska as your tour guide. We also recommend Lithuania for its sites and wonderful people! Thank you, Agnieska!

Agniezka was a wonderful guide and was very personable at the same time. We were in Lithuania to see the sites as well as do some geneaology research. Agniezska was incredibly patient and helpful in traversing the Lithuanian landscape with us in search of homesites. She was also extremely helpful in cemetary and chuch researches. A great tour! Agnieska tailored the tour to our needs and brought us to such interesting places along the way. She known in the area - which help us in some of the more crowded spots - like getting a great parking space. For lunch she suggested a local spot with regional specialties - we loved it. There is a lot to see and we never felt rushed by her....we highly recommend this tour!

We booked Agnieska for two days to tour Kaunas and Aukstaitija NP. Due to inclement weather on the 2nd day she effected a change to visit Trakai instead of Aukstaitija. This flexibility was very much welcomed and the tour to Trakai in fact was excellent - thoroughly recommend. Agnieska is a very friendly, knowledgeable and entertaining guide; she made both tours interesting and informative.
