Hello! I’m Dario, a true Sicilian at heart and soul! Born and raised on this beautiful island, I’ve also had the chance to explore and savor the flavors of over 50 countries. My pride in our rich history and cuisine is boundless. As an official tour leader with over 5 years of experience, I’ve had the pleasure of guiding nearly a thousand people through our culinary wonders. My tours blend exploration of the island's hidden, local gems—areas you might miss on your own—with a deep dive into our culinary heritage. Along the way, I’ll introduce you to the intimate side of my Sicilian family and community. Each vendor we visit is a friend, a relative, or someone with whom I’ve grown up. I’m passionate about sharing the unique stories and flavors of our gastronomy, providing an authentic local experience with a true Sicilian. Join me for a stroll through the heart of Syracuse and discover the finest culinary spots and must-see attractions. I can’t wait to let you taste Sicily like a local!

Join me for a 2.5-hour Street Food Tour and explore Syracuse’s historic center through a local’s eyes. Discover hidden corners of the island and savor authentic Sicilian specialties. We start with a refreshing Sicilian coffee, followed by the iconic Arancino! Then, we’ll explore charming, off-the-beaten-path areas, leading to the bustling local fruit and vegetable market. At the market I will introduce Capuliato (sun-dried tomato pesto), artisanal salami, and local cheeses. Enjoy almond pastries, pistachio cream, and the best panino from a top mozzarella maker. Our tour ends at the city’s premier gelateria, where you’ll savor refreshing granita made with seasonal fruit. My personal favorite is mulberry! Dishes may vary based on seasonality, providing an authentic experience with fresh, organic ingredients. Immerse yourself in Sicilian heritage and enjoy the island like a local! > Water is included. All food tastings are covered. The tour is in small groups (up to 15 people). Wear comfortable shoes.
