I propose you an unusual coastal trekking that I love a lot! In just 10/15 minutes of drive time from Syracuse we will be in the amazing sandy bay of Arenella. From here we will start a very relaxing coastal trekking to the tourist port of Ognina. I suggest you take with you a mask to enjoy also the beauty of the seabed, full of eel grass, starfish and many species of fish. Your Syracuse tour itinerary
In this tour we will walk along the low cliffs surrounding sea with beautiful views of many little bays and charming rocks. We can make many stops to have a swim in these clear waters and arrive to swim in the little island of Ognina, where there are some archeological remains: postholes and tombs of prehistoric age, roman furnace, mediavel tower, etc. Once we finish the tour in the little port of Ognina we can take a fresh drink or have lunch in one of the bars or lidos and after a refreshing stop we can come back to the car. Upon request, in the port of Ognina, it's possible to do a boat tour or come back to the car by boat. The coastal trekking is easy, plane and short (2-4 kms)
