Authentic Sicily Full Day Tour - Little towns in the mountains of Syracuse

I was born and live in this mountains and ever since I am a child I have been attracted from all this beautiful mix which influenced me to become a tourist guide! I like a lot this tour because we can admire different aspects of the real Sicilian community. We will see many little towns, visit authentic museums and try typical food. . In this trip by car we will also admire the beautiful landscape of the Iblei Mountains, just behind Syracuse but far from the chaos of the city and the mass tourism of the coast: green meadows, canyons carved into the limestone, little forest and a labyrinth of dry stone walls.

I can take you with my car in Syracuse or nearby and we will go in the Iblei mountains and visit many little towns (Palazzolo Acreide, Sortino, Buccheri, Buscemi, Ferla). In each town we will do a relaxing walking tour of the historic centre (baroque style churches, noble palaces, suggestive courtyards, narrow alleys, cobbled squares, etc. ) and according on your request we can visit different museums. In addition in each town we will have a special experience, so in Ferla we will visit the Nature Reserve an Archeological Necropolis of Pantalica, in Palazzolo we will visit the remains of the greek town of Akrai, in Buccheri we will see how they used to store the snow in the past, in special lava stone cisterns, to have the ice in summer, in Sortino we wiil have a free tasting of honey and related products. In short it's an unique tour to better know the real sicilan community!
