Ciao! My name is Liviana and I'm 100% Palermitan, born and raised in this incredible town! I'm active as a tour guide in Palermo and nearby towns. My father and my grandparents were from the province of Trapani, therefore I also have an important cultural heritage connected with this area of Sicily. I left Palermo only to improve my English for a few months, when I used to live in London, and then for a couple of years I decided to live in Venice to study at the University. I was missing Palermo so much, my deep roots called me back home and I never left Sicily again apart from when I'm travelling! I love exploring the world! After my Language High School Diploma, I graduated in Sciences of Cultural Tourism, then I got a Master Degree in Tourism Management and I started working for some car rentals, travel agencies and tour operators. In the meantime, I got my license as a Tour Leader in 2010 and also started touring Sicily with groups of travellers! This new experience was really a way to improve my professional knowledge, but also a revelation: let the people fall in love with Sicily, working as a freelance was simply what I wanted to do, since I'm a free spirit who loves meeting new people and help them understand a land I always call "a continent". Sicily is as amazing as it is complicated: a unique place in the world, a microcosm so rich in traditions, history, culture, different languages, recipes and incredible monuments which testify that today we are the result of a real melting pot of people. That is why we are so welcoming, sociable and helpful! Food is a way to share emotions for us and wine is the perfect companion. Tasting and cooking, something I really love so much, contributed to also develop a strong passion for wine. In 2022 I became a Certified Sommelier and finally I was also able to get my second license as a Tour Guide, then now I'm mostly based in Palermo ready to show you our local reality and amazing people. My passion for food helped me become an expert food guide: street food here is a really an experience you shouldn't miss. The markets, their colours and smells are a way to understand us and an amazing way to feel satisfied. There's no other place in the world with a stronger street food vocation! I can also arrange food and wine pairing tours, more than street food, cultural and art tours. I will help you in choosing the best itinerary according to what you actually prefer, always trying to give you the best suggestions and support. My tours can also be customized, so do not hesitate to ask in case you have a special request! Sicily is unforgettable and Palermo is its main town ready to become a piece of your hearts! Be ready to know me because I'm like a volcano, always ready to talk, joke and smile. I'm friendly and open minded and what I really wish is telling you the truth, so that you can experience Palermo through the eyes of a sincere local! •December 2008: Degree in Science of Cultural Tourism •May 2009: Master Degree in Tourism Management •March 2010: Wine tourism Specialization •April 2010: Tour Leader Licence •May 2017: Web Marketing and Digital Strategy Specialization •March 2022: Wine Sommelier certification •May 2022: Tour Guide Licence •I am not a driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

This is a very special tour for those who really want to go deeper and that's why I used the word "Discovery". If you already visited the most iconic sights, it's time to explore the lower part of the city, the closest one to the sea. Palermo is divided into 4 ancient quarters and both Kalsa and Vucciria represent the origins of Palermo: old and important buildings surrounded by the remains of the city bastions. Walk around beautiful lively squares and narrow little streets where old style taverns, little private churches and craft shops have a special feeling. Street Art plays a very important role with its coloured and modern touch here and there: you will understand the deep relationship between art and social/religious topics for us. Be aware this is real life: you will see and hear both positive and negative things everywhere we walk! Are you looking for something really out of the beaten track? This tour will make you feel like a real TRAVELLER for sure! Key words: Enjoy, Relax, Learn, Explore!
--Pick up at Piazza San Domenico, in front of Bar Lucchese *Discover the Vucciria and its taverns, squares, symbols and hidden gems: - See the Genio di Palermo, our laic patron! -Visit an Oratory decorated by Serpotta and admire his amazing stucco work! *Stroll around the Kalsa quarter: -Walk around narrow streets, wine bars and craft shops. -Reach Piazza Magione surrounded by beautiful Street Art, Churches and people! -Get to Piazza Marina to discover the oldest and biggest Ficus Tree of all Europe and see cool boutique shops. Learn more about the Holy Inquisition and Palazzo Steri. -Reach the Cala Harbour to end our tour with my favourite street mural. Get my best tips for your spare time during the night! --Drop off at Piazza San Domenico, where the tour started. ** This tour can be partially customized. Please, do not hesitate asking in case you have a specific request. ***Please, consider that the itinerary could be adapted according to starting times.
