This was a terrific tour. The pace was just right as was the level of detail. Mimmo is a super likeable and charming guy. His knowledge of Sicily past and present is prodigious. His interpretation of what we saw at Agrigento was very clear. I cannot recommend him more highly.
Mimmo was wonderful. Knowledgeable, prompt, good company, lots of extra touches. The favorite place was Villa Romana, that it was stunning. Loved all the hotels, sitting on the hotel terrace in Agrigento drinking wine with the lighted temples was magical. When Etna fogged over and couldn't be visited, Mimmo made alternative arrangements - which they loved. The places he found for them to eat were wonderful - everyone seemed to know him, and trotted out the red carpet and delicious food. Sicily was not a surprise exactly - knew they'd love it - but it was so much more than they had anticipated. So much history, more than anywhere else they'd ever been. Having Mimmo the whole time was wonderful, and worth every penny!

Spending the day with Mimmo was really a treat. His personality and knowledge of Sicily overall and the Valley of the Temples in particular were tops. We appreciated his professionalism, his clean and comfortable van, his humor, story-telling, and so much more.
- Pick up at your hotel in PALERMO and drive across the wonderful inner side of the natural scenery south of Palermo, with the Sicani Mountains and the hilly landscape. Passing by pleasant rural landscapes covered with vineyards, olive plantations and wheat fields. - Agrigento is located on the south coast. Arrive after driving approximately 2 hours. Stop for a brief coffee before starting the visit of Valley of Temples. - During the Guided Tour (2h) through the archeological area, from the Temple of Juno, enjoy an excellent view of the entire Valley and the Temple of Concordia which is beautifully preserved. The oldest ruin is traditionally named the Temple of Hercules. - From there to a nice seaside lunch (Optional). - Finally make a short stop at the Scala dei Turchi before driving back to PALERMO.
