I highly suggest to adopt these good practices for a sustainable trip to Sicily. 1) Staying in an Hotel is the best way to support local hospitality 2) Use a local driver and trains where is possible, renting a car is not recommended. 3) Follow the restaurants opening hours (12. 30/2 pm- 7. 30/10 pm) and the local siesta (2 to 4pm). 4) Winter and fall are the less crowded moment to visit the island. 5) Sicily has got a countless number of archaeological areas and historical sights. This is a full day tour for those of you who hope to find more information about their family tree in Sicily. I will contact the municipal registry office of your home town. If there is the chance, I will also contact the one alive who are still related to your family. Through the past years I lived incredible and emotional experiences with my guests. It will be a trip back in time and a tour that will be fully customized for any of you. I will analyze your requests and describe the kind of work, as well as possible results, that I think I can provide in your particular case. That's why I always need do a check before you can process this booking!
Your Palermo tour itinerary
- I will pick you up at your Hotel and I will bring you to your ancestor's village. - We can visit the streets where your grandparents were born and where they grew up, or the church where they got married. - On request and only if the municipality can give us this information, I can bring you visit the graves of your ancestors. - The research on your ancestors must start from Sicily and can start only if you provide me: *Name and surname of the parents *Place of birth *Date of birth Without this (three) information this tour CANNOT be delivered. If the place of birth is NOT Sicily I can't proceed with the research and I cannot find people who left with the boat from Sicily, unless they left some relatives in the island (for witch I also need name, date and place of birth). The cost of the tour can have a different price, depending on your needs. Please inquire.
