Varenna and Bellagio by Train and Public Boat

Massimo made our day trip to Lake Como so easy and enjoyable! The logistics of the trip, including buying the train and ferry thickets, restaurant reservations and making to the places on time, were all taken care of. He is very organized and flexible. He will help you to find the specific souvenirs, show you the best views of the lake and the best spots to take great photos. We would have not seen so much of Lake Como and it’s charming towns without him. Thank you Massimo!

Despite the large crowds in Varenna and Bellagio, Massimo did a great job of guiding our group of 10, from meeting us on the bus in Lezzeno, to securing boat tickets early in the day for our return, and going above and beyond to extend the tour for those who wanted to stay later in Bellagio. He wisely prebooked an excellent restaurant for our lunch in Varenna, and was good at adjusting our itinerary as the day progressed to accomodate everyone's comfort and navigate the crowds. Most of all, he was great company, and we enjoyed the knowledge of the local area which he shared. Thanks again, Massimo!

Words cannot express the beauty of Lake Como and the surrounding lakes! Our guide Massimo made it extra special! He was extremely kind, patient, flexible and very knowledgable of the area. I highly recommend him to anyone visiting the area! Probably the best tour guide I have ever used!!

So much fun to have a very unique hands on experience of foraging for a particular plant that we would ultimately use to make our homemade pasta. Never experienced anything like this and would highly recommend this to anyone. The best part was after we made the pasta we were able to partake in THE most delicious meal I have ever had. We had a great day touring Varenna and Bellagio with Massimo. He took care of all the travel details including scheduling and purchasing train and ferry tickets. A highlight of the day was the amazing views from the Varenna castle. The trek up the hillside was challenging but worth the effort. The lunch of local cuisine was delicious at a picturesque osteria. Lake Como is just gorgeous and a must see. We highly recommend Massimo.

Excellent tour by Massimo, probably the best guide I've ever hired! He met us at the train station and escorted us to Lake Como removing all concern about catching the right train at the right time. On our journey we had time to discuss our day's plans. Massimo told us what the options were and fashioned the tour around what was important for us to see and do. One member of our group struggled a little with the hike we had selected, and Massimo stayed right with her, helping her as needed. A perfect day!
