If you want to have your personal tour guide in Florence because you are you tired of big groups and lightening visits, this is what you are looking for! I provide extremely high quality, yet fun and informal, fully guided tours of Florence, designed for small, independent and open-minded travelers. I will be happy to introduce you to the real Florentine culture. You will have a personal tour guide of Florence at your disposal to discover all the secrets of the city: history, curiosities, art and food. Through your private tour you will get to know all the main historical buildings and the museums, as well as the streets, the squares and the markets. All will be showed to you adding amusing and curious anecdotes about Florence history. I give different types of tours and my services are always taylor-made: it's not the same thing giving a tour to a family with children, a group of friends or a couple of honey-mooners! With the Classic tour of Florence, we will visit the top sites, such as the Duomo, the Ponte Vecchio and Santa Croce Square. Moreover, I offer thematic tours, such as the Medici Grand Tour, a full immersion in the story of the most famous banking family of Florence. I am also specialized in the historical tours, like the medieval tour of Florence, focused on tower houses, religious orders and the real medieval house of Florence, Palazzo Davanzati. One of my favorite ones is a funny city tour with a special emphasis on food and wine: this is the Wine and Street Food Tour of Florence, to figure out what to order for breakfast at an Italian bar or where to find the best gelato spots in town. I love to give tours to the youngest ones, so if you have children in your party it will be exciting to discover the city with them. During my career as tour guide I got a specialization on tours for the visually impaired. Touring Florence is possible! You just need the right person to help you. I use high-releaf models, tactile reproductions and above all my comunication skills. Human relations always make the difference! If you wish to have further information on a particular subject or aspect you just have to ask: we will organize together a different tour, completely customized for you. Hello there! I'll introduce myself, my name is Francesca, I was born 33 years ago in this beautiful city, Florence, and I have been a qualified tourist guide of Florence since 2008 (time flies..!). After getting a degree in Modern Cultures and Languages at the University of Florence and completing my studies in Spain at the Universidad de Valladolid, studying English-Spanish code switching, I had several experiences in the field of diplomatic institutions, international trade and, eventually, I approached the tourism business, working on cruise ships at hotel department. Once I decided that the time of restless travelling was over, I thought that becoming a tour guide of Florence was the best opportunity to share my passion for my home town. Guiding is my full time job, my certification was issued in 2008 by the Italian Government. In the mean time, I came back to College to get a History Degree and I'm learning Hebrew language. I am self-employed tourist guide, not a tour operator. I am not a driver and in Italy you need a special licence to transport people in your own vehicle.

The villa we will visit first is nestled in the Chianti hills near San Casciano. There is a corner on the northeast side of the estate, from which one can gaze upon Florence and Brunelleschi's Dome. It seems just a stone's throw away. And it's actually only a 30 minutes drive from Florence. A centuries-old presence combined with an extraordinary location; a unique landscape context amidst the harmonious undulation of vineyards and olive groves that surround it, making it a jewel of rare beauty. According to Huffington Post, it's "one of the 22 Italian gardens to see at least once in a lifetime". We won't miss the chance to stroll around it and take amazing pictures! The second stop of our day is in the same area, named "Chianti Colli Fiorentini" (Florentine Hills). It's a lovely little gem hidden between Florence and Siena, run by Giovanni and his family, who are passionate organic oil producers. In Tuscany, we don't even need to specify Extra Virgin Olive Oil, because we take it for granted!
We will come to pick you up at your hotel at 9 in the morning: I will be your guide for the whole day and we will have a private driver on an A/C minivan. The ride to San Casciano is between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on traffic and the distance of your pick up place. We will have a 2. 5 hours full experience at the villa: we will see the Italian garden, the chapel built by the Machiavelli family (yes, that Machiavelli!), the Renaissance mansion with its frescoed walls, and the wine cellars to understand the whole wine process. Lastly, we will delight our palate tasting several wines paired with charcuterie, pecorino cheese and bruschettas. Then we will continue to our next destination, the olive farm. We will be welcomed by Giovanni and his dog, who will show us the olive grove and the mill. A delicious light lunch will be the perfect farewell of the day: EVO paired with soups, pasta, bread. . . and even gelato! You will go back home with an unforgettable memory of a special day in Tuscany!
