Hello, I am a Licensed Tour Guide with a two decades experience and would like to share with you my great passion for Florence and Tuscany. I was born and raised in Florence, I measured in History and Art History (University of Florence), got a Master of Arts in Communication (CESI, Paris) and then became a licensed Tour Guide of Florence and Tuscany. After long stays in the USA, Latin America, France, Spain and Russia (that's how I learn four languages!) I decided to come back to my hometown and make a job of what I love best: Florence and its surroundings, the incredible beauty of its art and architecture, its thrilling history, the harmony of Tuscan landscapes as well as the flavors of local food and wines. I love to suggest and plan itineraries, going from best-known monuments (gothic Cathedrals, masterpieces of Renaissance painting, Michelangelo's statues) to hidden beauties (secret gardens, little medieval churches, narrow streets full of surprises). And I love to tell stories related to the places we are visiting, true ones as well as Middle Ages legends: I am myself a great traveller and I know how important is to customize the tours to the taste of my guests, with the goal to make their trip always a unique experience. During the winter I work as a photographer and I teach photography, another great passion of mine: this gives me the opportunity to propose the unique "Florence Photographic Tour", a walk through the streets and squares of the city center seeking for the best corners and points of views in order to bring back home unforgettable pictures (so different from regular postcards!). Not only I will bring you to places most tourists don't even know about, but I will also help you valuing your subjects by catching the best light and experimenting unusual perspectives. I look forward to showing you the treasures of Florence and Tuscany and having a good time with you! - Licensed Tour Guide of Florence and Tuscany - University Degree in History - University Degree in Art History - Master of Art in Communication - Biking Guide - Professional Photographer and Teacher of Photography - I am a driver and I can transport up to 4 people in my personal car. For bigger groups, I can rent a van. - I am licensed to give tours in English, Spanish, French, Russian and Italian. None.

Palazzo Pitti, the last residence of the Medici family, houses the wonderful Palatine Gallery. Within a setting of splendid rooms frescoed and stuccoed in the 16th hundreds, you will admire masterpieces of Italian and European art from the Early Renaissance to the Baroque period: Filippo Lippi, Sandro Botticelli, Raphael (represented by one of the richest collections in the world), Andrea del Sarto, Titian, Caravaggio, Artemisia Gentileschi (the first Italian woman painter), Rubens, Van Dyck, as well as lesser-known (or even anonymous) artists who have left works with curious and astonishing details. The visit continues with an introduction to the Boboli Gardens, the prototype of the Italian garden, created for the Medici by the architect Niccolò Tribolo and later imitated by courts throughout much of Europe. A true open-air museum, featuring sculptures ranging from Roman antiquity to the twentieth century, the garden also offers splendid panoramic views over the historic centre of Florence.
