Benvenuti in Italia ! I am Angelica, born and educated in Tuscany, I had the good fortune to move around different family proprieties throughout my childhood during summer holidays - from Chianti hills, Pisa, Pistoia and the Tuscan coast. These experiences along with my passion and knowledge of Italy, led me to choose this profession. I hold professional certifications as an Environmental Guide and a Wine Sommelier. I am very passionate about history, great food, and the outdoors. I provide great care in customizing tours and love to share and transmit my passion for Italy with people coming from other countries, creating lifelong memories. What to expect ? If your dream is to live an authentic Italian experiance, the best way is to have a local native guide coming from an historical family from central Italy…like me !! I will plan and customize your tour itinerary arranging trains, boats, and minivans if necessary even round trips from Florence ! Depending your necessities and time permitting, we will walk on best panoramic trails that suit your desires. On request, we can have a local wine testing / a culinary experience with great chefs / gourmet seafood meals in restaurants with seaveiws / of course the best Italian gelato. To live an authentic Italian experience, what is better than being guided by a local native, passionate and knowledgeable about my homeland? Ciao From Italy! I have been leading hiking tours since 1998 !! ….But, before then I was educated in Florence, Tuscany. After my Art School I obtained a diploma in Fine Art Conservation and Restoration from U.I.A. the International University of Art, Florence. In this field I worked for many years, from restoring the frescos in the Hermes Store in Florence to old books, prints and drawings date back 15th 16th century. I have a License as Environmental Guide and Wine Sommelier Certification. I am not a driver/NCC. But I can arrange a private professional licensed driver/NCC for tours where necessary.

Chianti is a mountain range that stretches between Florence and Siena. This itinerary represents the classic trip out of the city "dei fiorentini" of the locals. Among olive groves, vineyards and rows of centuries-old cypresses, this journey will guide you to get to know and taste, one of the most famous red wines in Italy: il Sangiovese, or "Blood of Jupiter". In fact, it is an ancient grape vine imported by the Etruscans, a pre-Roman people who stopped for the fertility of this land, and was renamed as the land of the Tusci, hence Tuscany. A landscape characterized by ancient abbeys, castles, medieval villages and dirt roads that have remained frozen in time and is the same as in Renaissance paintings. We will visit a historic winery and its villages. If you are passionate about walking, we can also walk along a stretch of the VIA FRANCIGENA, a thousand-year-old road that connected northern Europe with Rome, traveled by kings, knights, clergy, merchants and ancient and modern pilgrims..
