Visit Florence and the David by Michelangelo!

This tour begins with a visit to the Accademia Gallery, home to Michelangelo’s David. Standing before this masterpiece, we’ll explore how it was carved from a single block of marble and became a symbol of Florence’s courage and independence. Then we’ll head outside into the open-air museum that is Florence. Our first stop is Piazza del Duomo, where we’ll admire the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore (the Duomo), Brunelleschi’s stunning dome, the Baptistery, and Giotto’s Bell Tower. Next, we’ll explore the medieval district, narrow streets, tall towers, artisan shops, and hidden courtyards full of stories from the city’s past. We’ll continue to Piazza della Signoria, the political heart of Florence, where we’ll see Palazzo Vecchio and an open-air gallery filled with powerful sculptures. Our walk ends at the Ponte Vecchio, lined with jewelry shops and offering beautiful views of the Arno River, the only Florentine bridge to survive World War II.
