Complimenti: you have found a "purely local one"! I am Massimo, born and brought up in a little country village in the center of Tuscany called Peccioli, where roughly a fourth of the 2k population is made of my relatives!! I was born in a family of farmers where the knowledge on extra virgin olive oil and genuine wine was particularly deep. I studied Modern Languages and Tourism at Pisa University and I spent a year as an exchange student in Germany, where I met tens of lovely friends. At the end of this wonderful experience I invited many of them to visit my area, meet my family and taste the delicious foods and wines available here. Right then I realized how awesome my area is and how my guests were amazed at discovering it. I also understood that my passion is showing to visitors the beauties of the spectacular region where I grew up and the warm character of the local people that surround me. I feel lucky to live in such a unique context and I want to share it with as many people as possible. I have over 18 years of experience in foodie tours, in particular as moderator in cooking classes and as guide in tours focused on extra virgin olive oil, cheeses and wines. I have raised a deep knowledge on farming techniques of both vines and olive trees and I like adding to my tours a lot of overall understanding of the origins of our farming traditions. Since 2023 I qualified as a sommelier of the Italian association AIS. My tours are designed around very interesting attractions off the beaten track, which most people might not be able to find. We will meet local characters, learn about their stories, understand how they became successful producers of wine, cheese, extra virgin olive oil, truffle products, pasta . . and above all we will taste a lot of memorable delicacies! Let's mEat! Since March 2023 qualified sommelier of Italian Sommeilier Associtation A.I.S. Special training on sampling of Extra Virgin Olive Oil at As.C.O.E. in January 2016 Special training on techniques of cultivation and maintenance of olive trees with professor Giorgio Pannelli of University of Spoleto in March 2016 Professional training on Gelato Italiano making with Massimo Corsi in February 2017 • My license as a guide is not valid for art towns and I will not be able to guide inside of the historical monuments and museums. • I am not a driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

The meeting point is at the railways station of Pontedera, which can be easily reached by car from all over Tuscany. Parking in town is easy. Alternatively, train is a great option, through the Pisa-Florence railway line (45 minutes from Florence, 15 minutes from Pisa - this option is cheap and trains run frequently). Finally, I can arrange a private transfer to our meeting point on luxury airconditioned vans for up to 8 passengers. My driver can pick you up anywhere in Tuscany.
