Ciao! My name is Chiara and I am an Official Licensed Tour Guide in Florence, born and raised here. In 2007 I graduated in foreign languages and literature with historical and artistic orientation. Before my graduation I travelled all over the world both for pleasure and as a tour leader. This allowed me to consolidate my knowledge and foreign languages. In the same year I achieved the Licence as a Tour Guide and decided to dedicate myself to this fantastic job. I love Florence, the city that inspired the greatest artists in history such as Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo and Botticelli. Since I was child I liked to walk through its streets where, like today, there was an authentic and suggestive flavour. This surreal atmosphere also colors and envelops all the great artistic heritage left by the most important family in the city, the Medici Family who presided Florence for four hundred years. I would be honored and pleased to show you through my eyes and my experience this amazing city. My tours are especially tailored for small groups and families and aimed to discovering Florence through its numerous stories and anecdotes. Overview of your Florence tour
Immerse yourself in the history and art of Michelangelo: are you curious?? Florence preserves several masterpieces of the great florentine artist, who lived and worked in the city for several years. The tour will start from the famous and magnificent gothic Basilica of Santa Croce, where we will visit the tomb of Michelangelo by Vasari, the tomb of Galileo Galilei and many others. The discover continues in the Bargello Museum, that hosts some of Michelangelo's artworks. After you will enjoy your free time (about 1 hour) and you have the possibility to have a lunch in a typical trattoria or go for a sandwich. The visit continues in the Medici Chapels, the Mausoleum of the family, with the famous sculptural cycles by Michelangelo (Twilight, Dawn, Day and Night) inside of the New Sacristy and the Princes Chapels, one of the most prestigious restoration workshops and museum worldwide. The itinerary ends inside of the Accademia Museum, where you can admire the original statue By Michelangelo "the David".
