Hello ! Buongiorno ! I was always attracted by the Beauty of the city, especially the Renaissance time and that was one of the main reason to decide and to realize a dream, to study Art conservation in Florence - in one of the most beautiful cities in the world ! Thanks to my profession as an Conservator of Paintings I had the chance to get in touch and come closer to the most beautiful artworks made during the Renaissance Time. I became a licensed tour guide of Florence in 2007 and have been showing the amazing sights to visitors from all over the world with humor and enthusiasm. Whether it is your first visit, or its your second or third time in Florence, whether you're interested in the major sights, or exploring specific neighborhoods, I will be happy to create a customized route that will be enjoyable and rewarding. The Oltrarno, literally "across the Arno", stands apart from Florence's busy central and eastern quarters. We had an excellent tour! I highly recommend doing this tour. We were able to visit a restoration workshop as well as a workshop for mosaics. They were both incredibly interesting. The tour provided highlights and information we could not have experienced any other way and we are still talking about it. Thank you!
Christiane took us to local artisans explaining the work that they do to produce beautiful piece of artwork. We went to a paper store, a store that creates mosaic artwork and furniture, a metal workshop. We saw the finished products and then watched these artists creating these pieces. Christiane explained all the procedures as well. We also visited Santo Spirito Church which was amazing. This was our second tour with Christiane and it was another great day. Thank you so much.
Great tour guide! She was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of Florence. She took us to artisan shops off the beaten path. She also let us customize what we wanted to see. Highly recommend her!
Christiane has a unique knowledge of the artisans and of the historic sites of of the Oltrarno. We really enjoyed meeting the people behind the crafts and to see how they continue the traditions of the Renaissance art.
