Hi! I'm Francesco, I was born and raised in Florence where I lived most of my life. For the last half of my life I've been living in a house a little outside of Florence, in the Chianti area, the "Wine" area! Right after high school, I started working in the art business along with my father who has been an antiques dealer for over 30 years. I always loved art and always wanted to work with it and I think that growing up in a city like Florence with a father that has always taught me so much about art and history inspired me a lot. I've been working as an art dealer since 2012, loving it, and I'm still in that field. Thanks to that job I had the opportunity to travel a lot in my life, especially in the US where I've been many times. I also lived one year in Miami studying the english language and a few months in New York City. Since I always loved working with others, and most of all, the social interaction with people from different countries, I decided to throw myself in the tourist business and I became a tour guide. From that moment on I had wonderful experiences with so many different people from different countries. Considering that I've been a tourist myself many times in my life and I always loved and encouraged the idea of living the place instead of just visiting it, when I do tours I try to give an intimate view of the city, doing my best to let you experience everything from a real local perspective, sharing my love for this town and having also in mind that I see most of the places we'll be going through, as my home. . . the streets, my gym, my school, the bars. . . where I spent my youth and my life. So, if you are willing to explore the art, heritage, beauty and life of this town with a real local by your side, let's get in touch! The Medici have been the most influent family of Florence. They left the sign of their passage in the city and with this tour we will have the possibility to see most of the places tied up with this fascinating family. We will follow an imaginary line across the city following the most relevant Medici's places, even if I could also customise the tour if you would prefer a few different things, so we can collaborate in creating the perfect suited tour for you!
