Hi! My name is Valentina, I was born and raised in Florence. Since I was a little child my mother used to take me around the city telling me stories and curiosity, and this is how I fell in love with my city. When I grew up I decided to study art history and go deeper inside the history of Florence. After travelling around the world for few years, to improve my language skill, I have decided to come back to my birthplace and become a tour guide. I love to welcome people from all over the world to show them the beauty of this place. Overview of your Florence tour
The tour will start from the Medici neighbourhood: San Lorenzo, here there is the Palace built by Cosimo the elder in the 1400. Just right behind the palace the church that gives the name to the area. This church was built in the same period of the palace and it is the place where all the members of the family are buried. After visiting the neighbourhood we'll go toward Piazza del duomo, where the beautiful Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore stands since 1296, the cathedral in 1478 was the place where the most terrible conspiracy was plotted against the Medici, known as The Pazzi plot. Once visited the square we will walk to Piazza della Signoria, the Political centre of Florence since 1333, and Medici residence during the 1500. We'll visit the Palace which is the statement of the Medici power in Florence. Here we'll go through the Hall of the 500, all painted by beautiful frescoes made by Giorgio Vasari, the apartments of the elements, Eleanor's of Toledo's apartments and much more.
