Ciao! Hello there! I'm Laura, a proud Florentine and I can't wait to make you fall in love with my city! I was born in Florence, 47 years ago and I grew up breathing the beauty and history of my hometown while simply living my teenage daily life. I have always loved books and was curious about the past which made me decided to become a medieval archaeologist: I studied here in Florence, where the spirit of the Middle Ages still walks the streets and lingers between the towers and the churches, floating in the thousands of paintings that can be found in Florence. As an archaeologist, I've met people from all around the world and worked for many years in Italy and in Jordan, and in time discovered that hidden beneath the surface of archeology was in reality the discovery of my passion in telling real life stories about the real people of the past. Thus I decided to become a tour guide! As any real Florentine, I'm really proud of my city, not only because of its beauty, but because of it's spirit, it's shyness, in spite of it's obvious magnificence, and I love to convey this spirit to my guests. I don't just want to "guide" you, I want to take you by your arm and let you fall in love with the real Florence. I really enjoy the contact with people, even with younger kids, and can transform myself in a real storyteller, well trained by years of reenactments! Most of all I really love the idea of engaging the whole family in a fun experience of edutainment. Since I was a teenager I have always had a passion for photography and started taking pictures during my high school years and never stopped. I still wander around with my camera, so I can also take you on a photographic tour, to discover Florence in it's magical moments. But most of all, what I love most is tailoring tours and experiences together with my guests, matching your interests and giving you the chance to experience your "personal" Florence! PhD in Medieval Archaeology Teacher in the graduate school in Archaeology, Florence University I am not a driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver. Lines in Florence are quite usual: also if we have tickets in our hands we'll have to do some lining to visit the Uffizi or the Accademia museums.

Do you know that Florence is a very green city? Many gardens are hidden in the private spaces between the ancient palaces, but some of the most beautiful gardens are waiting for you to discover them. Great views on Florence, emotional perfumes, chanting fountains, exotic plants and colourful flowers. The silent corners, with only the sound of the wind through the leaves, are one of my favourite remedies for stress or bad moods. I often choose some shady bench or a grass smelling lawn to study and I always find new small treasures, stunning glimpses and wonderful little details to discover. Come with me to smell the fantastic wisteria of the Bardini Garden in late April and May, hear the cracking of our steps on the gravel paths of the Boboli Garden, follow me to my favourite shady bench in the Rose Garden and take your breath looking at my amazing Florence under your feet.
We'll enter the Boboli garden through Palazzo Pitti: - views on Florence - the amphiteatre for the court melodramas - the Cypress Avenue - the Isle Fountain and the green "parrot" lawn - the paths in the wood up to the Belvedere and the Porcelain Museum - the Lorreain Kaffehaus Under the Belvedere bastions and through the medieval Saint George door we'll enter the Bardini Garden - the japanese channel - the Cafè with the stunning view on the Brunelleschi Dome - the Baroque staircase (the one seen in the D&G shows in September 2020) and the Wisteria lane. We'll exit on the river, near Santa Croce, - the picturesque Via San Niccolò to the Rose garden and here - sunnly lawns and perfumed roses - shady benches and the poetic statues by Jean Michel Folon up to the Piazzale Michelangelo and the most famous Florentine landscape Any other particular interests?
