I was born and raised in Florence, a city resonating with Renaissance beauty and history, which has profoundly shaped my passion for storytelling and exploration. Having a degree in Economics from the University of Florence, I offer a unique perspective, blending academic insights with a deep personal connection to my hometown. Since becoming a Licensed Tour Guide in 2016, I have crafted immersive experiences that go beyond the iconic landmarks like the Duomo and Uffizi, delving into hidden gems and untold stories that reveal Florence’s intimate charm and cultural depth. My tours explore the intricate layers of Florence's history, showing how its past as a trade and financial hub shaped the Renaissance. Influential families like the Medici played a pivotal role in intertwining art, politics, and society, themes I highlight to connect historical grandeur with the city’s enduring village-like warmth. I also infuse my tours with personal anecdotes, introducing visitors to my favourite trattorias and local artisans who preserve Florence’s rich traditions. Food and wine are integral to my tours, offering a gateway to Florentine culture. From savouring chianti in historic wine cellars to tasting authentic dishes in family-run osterias, I emphasize the stories behind recipes and their evolution. My tours are interactive, encouraging questions and fostering connections between visitors and Florence’s soul. Ultimately, my goal is to share Florence as I see it—a vibrant, evolving city rooted in its extraordinary heritage. If my calendar appears unavailable, please contact me anyway. I can organize private transportation by private car and driver. I provide pick-up and drop-off at the hotel or port via the driver. I’ll meet you at the meeting point. For easy communication on the day of the tour, I suggest downloading WhatsApp on your smartphone.

Let's go on this walking tour through the heart of Florence, where art, history, and local life come together. I offer you a local’s perspective on Florence as we walk through both famous and lesser-known streets, from the Medici district, to the Duomo area, to the Medieval district. We'll be visiting key city landmarks like the Florence Cathedral, with its stunning dome designed by Brunelleschi, and the Ponte Vecchio, famous for its jewellery shops. We'll also visit the Accademia Gallery, home to Michelangelo’s David, a masterpiece that embodies the power and beauty of the Renaissance. Speaking of the Renaissance, I'll contextualize you on the influential Medici family, who were major patrons of the arts and played a crucial role in Florence’s development during this era. If you book during the summer, be sure not to forget a hat, sunscreen & sunglasses, and if you book during the winter, don't forget a raincoat or small umbrella just in case!
·After meeting at Caffè Gilli, we'll first stop by the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. ·Later, we'll continue towards the illustrious Accademia Gallery, where we'll enjoy its many renowned art pieces (be aware that for security reasons, all visitors will be checked with Metal Detectors before entering). ·What follows will be Piazza Signoria, a hub of Florentine history, with its beautiful open air sculptures and the remarkable Palacio Vecchio. ·Next, we'll head to Ponte Vecchio. ·Finally, we'll arrive to Piazza Santa Croce. Note: Since this is a walking tour, I suggest you wear comfortable shoes & bring a water bottle. This itinerary can be flexible according to the needs of the clients. Please contact me if there are people with mobility issues in your group. If you use or need a wheelchair, the itinerary will be different.
