Second World War and Liberation of Florence Private Tour

With this tour, l'd like to explore the recent history of Florence with a focus on the Second World War and the Liberation of the city. This period is often overlooked in traditional historic tours of the city, but l know that these awful events still fascinate people, many of whom had relatives directly involved in this period. The effects of the Second World War on the city were tremendous, with a great amount of artwork and architecture being destroyed or stolen, much of which still hasn't been returned. We will weave our way through the most important events in the city's history, from the locations visited by Hitler himself through to the Battle of Florence and the Liberation of the city. Along our way, we'll see the scars remaining from these significant times of war in Florence.
