Pisa and Lucca Private Tour

I will start giving you a historical presentation from the foundation of Pisa as an Etruscan city, to its growth as a Roman colony, until the heyday of Pisa in the Middle Ages as one of the most powerful maritime republics. I will show you the monumental complex of Piazza dei Miracoli: Cathedral, Bell Tower, Baptistery, and Cemetery. We'll then drive to Lucca where I'll tell you about the foundation of Lucca as a Roman colony, up to its growth in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance as one of the most important cities in Italy. I'll show you its beautiful historic center surrounded by intact Renaissance-era city walls, with its Romanesque Cathedral of San Martino and its famous Piazza Anfiteatro. I am not going to give you a lecture, I'll be informative but I won't overdo with too many dates and names; I'll make your visit fun with anecdotes and legends, and you'll have time to enjoy a typical local meal, coffee or ice cream: I know you are here on holiday and your holiday is meant to be enjoyable and fun!
